Plays and verification scores

One showing of a creative, and how sure Vojo is about it.

Play

A play is one showing of a creative on a screen. Vojo builds it from the evidence that matched it, from two independent sources:

  • Passport: the wrapper reports its own start, fingerprint sequence and finish.
  • Harvester: the sensor on the glass reads the creative's fingerprint off the screen.

A play's tracks show which sources it has, for example { "passport": "matched", "harvester": "absent" }.

Verification score

Each play has a score from 0 to 100, also known as the vTrust Score, and a band: low, medium, high or max.

The score has a phase. It's preliminary while Vojo is waiting for evidence, then it becomes final.

How long that takes depends on what's still missing. Vojo waits up to about 15 minutes from the start of the play if the screen's healthy Harvester hasn't produced a reading yet, or if Passport hasn't matched. If Passport has matched and no Harvester is expected, the score can become final within a minute of the play starting.

A final score never changes, so evidence that arrives later can't raise it.

What each band takes

Evidence Best result
Passport reported only a start medium
Complete Passport lifecycle: start, fingerprint sequence and finish high, at most 70
A Harvester also read the fingerprint off the screen max, 75 and above

Only a Harvester can lift a play into max. So in a Passport-only rollout, high is the best band a play can reach, and that's expected. It doesn't mean something is wrong.

Where no Harvester is expected, a score can become final before the Passport reports the finish, so a final medium there doesn't by itself mean the play stopped early.

The breakdown of a score isn't part of the API.

Evidence composition

GET /v1/stats/evidence-composition counts your plays per UTC month: corroborated (Passport and Harvester), passport_only, harvester_only and unproven. It's a quick way to see how much of your estate has independent corroboration.
